South African traveler and producer Johannes Badenhorst will travel across Russia in Ural trucks en route from Murmansk to Magadan to film the Voetspore travel show. This was announced on April 13 by the press service of the Ural automobile plant.

The expedition to the cities of the country will be held with the support of the automobile plant from Miass. The documentary aims to introduce the world community to the Russian multinational culture, rich traditions, the way of life of indigenous peoples, unique architecture and nature, the company said.

The total length of the route will exceed 20,000 km, and the trip itself will last from April 30 to July 10. The film crew is expected to visit not only large cities of regional centers, but also small towns and villages — more than 30 regions of Russia in total.

The expedition will include two Ural vehicles: a motorhome based on the Ural 5557 chassis, designed for autonomous living during travel, hunting or long trips to nature, as well as a new medium-tonnage truck with a 4x4 wheel formula Ural-80.

Last spring, the Ural Automobile Plant opened a new building for the assembly of high-intensity trucks. The opening of the site will increase the total production capacity of the enterprise by more than 5.5 thousand vehicles per year.
