The expert recalled the pension increase in May for some categories of citizens.

In May of this year, pensions will be increased for flight crew members, coal industry workers and citizens who celebrated their 80th birthday in April, as well as those who were assigned the first disability group. This was announced on April 13 by Yulia Finogenova, Professor of the Department of State and Municipal Finance at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics.

"Pension indexation is not envisaged in May, but pensions will be recalculated upward for a number of categories of citizens. Firstly, this concerns former members of aviation flight crews and coal industry workers, for whom the monthly recalculation of the pension supplement to the old—age pension insurance will be the second this year, since it is carried out four times a year," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
