Russians were told about a fraud scheme to check for "gas leaks"

Fraudsters, posing as employees and showing fake IDs, bypass apartments under the guise of checking for "gas leaks." This was announced on April 12 by the press service of the Moshelovka platform of the Popular Front.

"Scammers in uniforms and with fake IDs are walking around the apartments. They report a "gas leak" or "non—compliance with standards," after which they require urgent replacement of equipment (sensors, cranes) at inflated prices with cash payment "on the spot" or transfer to a "replacement card," RIA Novosti's press service reports.
