The election of a new Hungarian Prime Minister will take place within 30 days.

The first session of the Hungarian National Assembly of the new convocation, during which deputies will elect the Prime Minister, will be held within 30 days from the voting day. This was announced on Sunday, April 12, by the country's President Tamas Shujok.

The Head of State noted that after the official results were summed up, he would organize meetings with the leaders of all political forces that had managed to enter the unicameral parliament. The proposal on the composition of the new Cabinet of Ministers will be prepared in accordance with the Constitution and political traditions of Hungary, the President added.

"Whatever the election result, it will mean legitimate authority in choosing the course that Hungary will follow in the next period," TASS quoted Shujok as saying.
