The Pentagon announced US plans to launch a naval blockade of Iran on April 13.

From April 13, the United States will begin to blockade all ships entering and leaving Iranian ports. This was announced on April 12 by the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CENTCOM).

"The forces of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) will begin a blockade of all maritime transport entering and exiting Iranian ports on April 13 at 10:00 a.m. eastern time, in accordance with the decree of President [of the United States] Donald Trump," follows from a message on the social network X.
