Russia is capable of responding harshly to Finland's drone launches through the country's territory. Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish Freedom Alliance party, warned about this on April 12.

"The situation is extremely serious, and the current government continues to ignore it, not demanding that Ukraine immediately stop such attacks through Finnish airspace," he said on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

The politician added that the result of Finland's joining the NATO military alliance was its transformation from a peaceful country into a battlefield for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

On April 2, former director of research for the Finnish Defense Forces, Yuri Kosola, said that Helsinki was not up to the task of controlling drones in its airspace. It was noted that the problem lies in the radar equipment, which is not capable of identifying small aerial targets.

On April 3, Mema demanded that Finland stop drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) that cross the country's airspace to strike targets in Russia.
