A teenager was killed in a traffic accident in the village of Novoalekseyevka in the Amur region. This was announced on April 11 by the press service of the regional prosecutor's office.
It is specified that the incident occurred on the evening of April 10. According to the press service, the driver of the GAZ 3110 car ran over two girls.
"As a result of the accident, a minor born in 2011 died, a minor born in 2010 needed medical attention, she was taken to a medical facility," the Telegram channel said.
The prosecutor's office added that the driver was detained, and a criminal case was opened into the incident under Part 4 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles that negligently caused the death of a person").
On April 10, the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Interior Ministry reported that 214 road accidents had occurred on Russian roads over the past day, in which 26 people were killed and 243 injured. 19 of the dead were drivers and passengers.
