In recent decades, there has been a decline in the number of bee populations in Russia. This was announced on April 11 at the Federal Scientific Center for Beekeeping.

"In recent decades, there has been an alarming downward trend in the number of bee populations," experts said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to the center, the situation is of concern to both scientists and beekeepers. The main causes include climatic changes leading to abnormal weather conditions, as well as the active use of agrochemicals.
