The special correspondent of Izvestia News Center, Nasser Ashkeri, became the first and only Russian journalist from the world media who worked and made materials from Kharq Island after the outbreak of the conflict between the United States and Iran.

In conditions of increased danger and limited access for foreign media, the Izvestia journalist managed to prepare video reports from one of Iran's key strategic sites, Kharq Island. The Special Correspondent came close to the "forbidden island", which is forbidden to ordinary people, as it has enormous strategic importance. Kharq is Iran's main oil hub, through which about 80% of all Iranian crude oil exports pass. This is where oil is loaded onto tankers that then pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Nasser Ashkeri managed to capture one of the island's oil loading terminals and military hangars, as well as communicate with local residents who spoke about life after the truce and shared their opinions on the events.

In addition, Izvestia has released exclusive material directly from the war zone in the Dalem region, Bushehr province. The special correspondent of the publication has prepared a video from the scene of the US operation to rescue downed American pilots in Iran. The correspondent not only visited the combat zone, but also received unique footage of the fighting between Iranian forces and American helicopters. Nasser Ashkeri also managed to get exclusive comments from the Iranian military and militias.

Izvestia was the first media outlet in the world to show the real situation in the Strait of Hormuz. The journalist captured the vessels damaged and burned as a result of the attacks, as well as ships waiting for permission to pass. In particular, the special correspondent was able to get close to one of the ships anchored— the oil tanker Oriental Tulip, and prepare a report from the scene.

The journalist also visited Assalouyeh– the main industrial gas center of Iran. It is called the "capital of the country's energy sector," where gas condensate, as well as petrochemical products (methanol, ethylene, etc.) are produced and exported. Izvestia journalist interviewed Governor Assalouye, in which he spoke about the measures the government is taking to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe. Since March, the United States has repeatedly attacked the industrial sector, but this has not led to significant disruptions and disruption of the center.

The journalist's work has become unique: Izvestia has become the first among the world's media outlets to present an objective picture of what is happening in the region, having visited key strategic locations in Iran.
