Moscow will expand the program of adaptation of participants in a special military operation (SVO) — it will be supplemented with new directions and will become more convenient for families of veterans. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his channel in the MAX messenger.

"Moscow is the first in the country to create a comprehensive system where you can get all the necessary help to return to a peaceful life after completing your service," the mayor said. According to him, the participants of the SVO and their families have already received more than 500 thousand services in the capital's Unified Support Center. Among them are legal assistance, employment assistance, selection of training programs, registration of support measures and addressing targeted issues.

In addition to the main directions, the center develops programs aimed at comprehensive adaptation and socialization of veterans. Their content is determined based on the requests of the participants of the SVO and their relatives — they point to the most sought-after areas of assistance, Sobyanin recalled. For example, this year a common calendar of sports, creative and leisure events has appeared in the Unified Support Center. It contains all the features of the center: regular classes in the billiard room and gym, group workouts in the gym and other activities.

This year, the list of classes at partner sites will expand, where veterans will be able to engage in go-karting, bowling and bench shooting, said the mayor of Moscow. The program is constantly being updated with new directions, many of which were launched on the initiative of the veterans themselves and their loved ones. Thus, the hand-to-hand combat section is led by the district coordinator of the Moscow Association of Veterans of a special military operation.

"Non—profit organizations have become important partners in supporting the fighters," Sobyanin said. They conduct recovery training, master classes in tannery, painting, cooking, as well as sand therapy classes.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
