The cause of the tragedy with a tourist group in Kamchatka, which resulted in the death of two people and one injured, was the failure to follow basic precautions. This was announced on April 10 by the head of the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Sergey Lebedev.
"A terrible tragedy, the cause of which, as always, is disregard for basic safety rules," Lebedev wrote on his page on the VKontakte social network.
According to the minister, by now the rescue operation is being completed, the fate of all nine members of the registered group has been established. The dead were young people born in 2001 and 2003. Another tourist got frostbite.
