Rescuers used an Mi-8 helicopter to search for tourists in Kamchatka
An Mi-8 helicopter of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations has been deployed to search for tourists who have disappeared in the Yelizovsky Municipal District. This was announced on April 10 by the press service of the department.
"A ground-based combined group of rescuers and an Mi-8 helicopter from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations went in search of the group. Currently, one of the travel agencies has managed to find two members of the missing group alive. <...> The search for three people continues," the Russian Emergencies Ministry said.
It is specified that rescuers are exploring the possible route of the group from different sides. A ground consolidated group is involved in the operation. In total, 22 people and five pieces of equipment are involved in the work.
