Manturov spoke about the development of the first Russian reusable rocket

Russia will launch its first reusable medium-range rocket, Amur-LNG, in 2028. This was announced on April 9 by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Denis Manturov.

"Last year, the technical specifications for the rocket <...> and the prototype of the returned first stage were approved. The launch and landing of the experimental sample should take place in 2028," Manturov said during a meeting of the Russian Space Forum.

According to the First Deputy Prime Minister, the project should confirm the possibility of multiple use of elements of rocket and space technology. Manturov also spoke about the work on the creation of a domestic orbital station. He noted that this project is already entering an active implementation phase.

Dmitry Bakanov, Director General of Roscosmos, announced on April 9 that Russia plans to scan the Moon in 2028, and the development of instruments for studying the Earth's satellite began in 2026. According to him, cooperation with the Rosatom state Corporation is conducted in two main areas: the creation of a lunar power plant based on nuclear equipment, as well as the development of a tugboat engine that will be able to deliver large volumes of cargo into deep space.
