The issue of Ukraine's membership in the North Atlantic Alliance is no longer being discussed, instead, the alliance countries will provide Kiev with reliable security guarantees. This was announced on April 9 by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
On the same day, Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of the President of Russia for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), said on April 9 that Rutte was unable to defend the interests of the alliance.
