On Sakhalin, near the port city of Korsakov, a dangerous rise in sea level is possible. An emergency warning was issued by the rescue services.

SakhalinMedia news agency, with reference to the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the region, writes that an unfavorable natural phenomenon is expected on the night of April 10. Storm surge of 2-3 m is possible. This may cause the north pier to flood and water to escape into the city.

Residents and visitors of the island are advised to avoid dangerous places and stay away from the piers.

Earlier, on April 8, it was reported that about 1,339 residential buildings remain flooded in Dagestan, as well as 90 sections of highways in eight settlements. 591 people, including 246 children, are currently staying in 16 temporary accommodation facilities. Psychologists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia and the Russian Emergencies Ministry also work in the PVR. Additional forces of rescuers and fire protection units were sent to the problem areas.
