Residents of the Irkutsk region were warned about a snowstorm

Weather conditions will worsen in the Irkutsk region. On the night of Friday, April 10, strong winds with gusts up to 22 m/s are expected in some places. In the afternoon, wind gusts will be up to 18 m/s in some areas.

Forecasters do not rule out precipitation in the form of wet snow, and there may be snow on the roads. IA IrkutskMedia writes about this with reference to the Irkutsk Hydrometeorological Center.

Strong and very strong winds of up to 35 m/s will blow across the southern and middle parts of Lake Baikal. Avalanches are possible in the mountains. The roads are slippery. The temperature will drop to -9 degrees at night, and to -19 degrees when it clears. During the day, with cloudy weather, the thermometer will drop to -8 degrees.

Earlier, meteorologists said that Moscow is waiting for several days of cold weather. On April 10, snow cover of up to 4 cm may even form in the capital, and there may be ice on the roads. Rain and sleet are expected almost all over Central Russia, with hurricane—force winds in some places.
