- The prosecutor denied the connection with Lercek and the purchase of fitness marathons. What is known
Law enforcement agencies have denied information about the prosecutor's purchase of fitness marathons from blogger Valeria Chekalina, known as Lerchek. Prosecutor Svetlana Tarasova added that representatives of the supervisory authorities do not need blogger courses. All the details are in the Izvestia article.
The blogger's health status
Chekalina fights the fourth stage of stomach cancer. According to her lover Luis Squicciarini, the medical course is divided into nine stages, some of which have already been completed. Due to a serious illness and grueling treatment, the celebrity almost lost sight in one eye and faced hair loss, which is why she has to wear a wig.
For the regular administration of the necessary drugs, a venous port was installed in the neck area. Despite her physical weakness and difficulty moving, Chekalina tries to keep a positive attitude and continues to contact her fans on social media.
"I love this life very much and I will definitely live by your prayers," the blogger addressed her audience.
Issues of access to medicine
Chekalina attributed the late detection of cancer to the inability to get to the right specialists at the place of residence in Istra during the investigative actions. According to her, the local government institution did not have the necessary equipment to make an accurate diagnosis.
"All we found in Istra is a paramedic's office. But when I got there, there was just a table on the ground floor of this five—story building, and a paramedic was sitting behind it," she said.
Lawyer Ekaterina Gordon confirmed the existence of petitions to send the blogger to a specialized center due to pain. However, lawyer Elena Ponomareva clarified that the investigation rejected only requests to visit private clinics, without limiting the right to treatment in public medical institutions.
The reaction of the family and environment
The blogger's ex-husband, Artyom Chekalin, said that their children are extremely difficult to bear the news about their mother's illness. He noted that his daughter asks frightening questions about the possible outcome of the disease, which causes strong emotional feelings for the whole family. During the periods when Valeria is in the hospital, Artyom takes full responsibility for raising the children.
"My daughter says, 'Dad, is mom dying?' When she told me that for the first time, I cried a little myself, because it's all hard," Chekalin shared with the Izvestia correspondent.
Maria Pogrebnyak also expressed support for Lercek on her blog, who admired her friend's strength of spirit. At the same time, critical reviews appeared online: blogger Inna Kombarova stated that her friends allegedly saw Chekalina in training and in the sauna a few days before the news of her hospitalization, questioning the severity of her condition.
Litigation and taxes
Trials are continuing in parallel with the treatment. The Moscow Arbitration Court terminated the bankruptcy proceedings against Chekalina, as the debt owed to the state in the amount of 173 million rubles was fully repaid. Squicciarini stressed that Valeria had paid off her debt to the tax service on her own, refuting rumors about the help of third parties.
In an interview with TASS, law enforcement agencies also denied information about the dismissal of one of the prosecutors in the blogger's case. Earlier, the media reported that the state prosecutor allegedly bought fitness marathons from the defendant, but the department called this information unreliable. Prosecutor Svetlana Tarasova added that representatives of the supervisory authorities do not need blogger courses.
