The State Duma spoke about the actions taken when a loan was issued without the knowledge of the State Duma.

Citizens who discover a loan issued in their name without consent should immediately contact the credit bureaus and law enforcement agencies. This was announced on April 9 by State Duma Deputy Dmitry Svishchev.

"It is necessary to contact the credit history bureau with a request to check the relevant record and exclude it," he said.

The parliamentarian explained that if fraud is suspected, you should file a police report, as well as request documents from a bank or microfinance institution confirming the loan. If the signatures in them do not belong to the applicant, this may serve as a basis for further proceedings.

"If you find an open account or bank card in your name, then you need to contact the bank where the account is opened with your passport. Bank employees will check the information and, if the account is opened by fraudsters, they will help close it," RIA Novosti quoted Svishchev as saying
