A resident of Primorye was detained on charges of treason and financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The FSB of Russia in Primorsky Krai detained a local resident born in 1998 on charges of financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and high treason. This was announced on April 8 by the press service of the anti-terrorist commission of the region in the Telegram channel.

"The man repeatedly purchased the virtual currency of foreign Internet messengers, which he sent to purchase equipment and weapons of destruction for the armed units of Ukraine," the report says.

It is specified that the man was charged under articles h.1.1 of art. 205.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Financing of terrorism") and art. 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason").

The detainee repented of his actions. Operational search activities are currently underway, the press service added.

On April 6, the press service of the Astrakhan FSB announced the arrest of a local resident suspected of publicly calling for terrorist and extremist activities against Russian government authorities. It turned out that he is a supporter of the Ukrainian paramilitary nationalist association.
