The fourth match of the 1/8 finals of the Youth Hockey League (MHL) playoffs between Nizhny Novgorod Chaika and Kazan Irbis became the longest in the history of the tournament. The match took place on April 8 in Nizhny Novgorod and ended in the fifth overtime with a 3-2 victory for the guests.

The net playing time of the match was 142 minutes and 49 seconds.

The previous league record was set in March 2019. Then the meeting between Yekaterinburg Auto and Ufa Tolpar lasted 122 minutes and 56 seconds. Thus, the new achievement surpassed the previous figure by almost 20 minutes.

Magnitogorsk Metallurg 1 defeated Novosibirsk Siberia in the fifth match of the 1/8 finals of the Gagarin Cup and secured entry to the next round of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) tournament. The match ended with a score of 1:0.
