The State Duma named categories of citizens with the possibility of receiving a double pension

Certain categories of Russian citizens have the right to receive an insurance pension and a state disability pension at the same time. This was announced on April 9 by Ekaterina Stenyakina, a member of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.

"Invalids of the Great Patriotic War, combat invalids, residents of besieged Leningrad, besieged Stalingrad or Sevastopol who have disabilities, as well as liquidators and victims of the Chernobyl accident can count on an old-age or long-service insurance pension," RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

According to the MP, widows of deceased servicemen who have not remarried, disabled children and parents of deceased military personnel are also eligible for double payments.
