Ash was released at the Shiveluch volcano in the Kamchatka Territory to an altitude of about 6.6 km above sea level. This was announced on April 8 in the press service of the Kamchatka branch of the Federal Research Center "Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences".

"According to seismic data, an ash discharge occurred at the Shiveluch volcano at an altitude of about 6.6 thousand meters above sea level," the message in the MAX messenger says.

On March 13, the press service of the Kamchatka branch of the Federal Research Center "Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences" reported that the Shiveluch volcano had erupted in Kamchatka. Then the ash cloud headed towards the Bering Sea in a northeasterly direction.
