The death toll from Israeli strikes on Lebanon has risen to 112 people.

The death toll from strikes by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) in Lebanese cities has increased to 112 people, with 837 injured. This was announced on April 8 by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.

"The death toll in Lebanon as a result of the devastating Israeli attacks has risen to 112 people, with another 837 injured," Al Jazeera TV channel quoted the text of the statement.

On April 8, Israel launched a new attack on Lebanon, despite the truce agreement. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, hundreds of people were killed and injured after the attack. Iran's state broadcaster IRIB also reported on the "brutal Zionist bombing of Beirut." Al Mayadeen TV channel provided Izvestia with footage of the aftermath of an Israeli strike on a cafe in the city of Sayd in southern Lebanon. As a result of the attack, nine people were killed and more than 20 injured.

Axios journalist Barak Ravid, citing White House press Secretary Caroline Leavitt, explained that Lebanon is not a party to the temporary ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran. However, this was actually denied by Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian, who assured that the cessation of strikes on Lebanon is one of the conditions for ending the war between Iran and the United States.
