The Russian Foreign Ministry allowed the EU's problems to worsen due to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on the energy structure

Attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on energy infrastructure can only worsen the growing crisis in the European Union (EU) countries. This was stated on April 8 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, answering a question from Izvestia.

"We categorically do not just condemn, but do not accept attacks on cross—border energy infrastructure. Such actions undermine the stability of energy supplies, damage the socio-economic situation of many States, and have a negative impact on regional and sometimes global energy security. Against the background of the developing energy crisis, such attacks can only exacerbate the growing problems, including in Europe itself," she said at a briefing.
