Russian Prosecutor General Alexander Gutsan and his Uzbek counterpart Nigmatilla Yuldashev signed a new cooperation program for 2027-2028. The ceremony took place on April 8 as part of the working visit of the head of the Russian department to Tashkent.

"I consider it particularly important that the agreements reached on joint counteraction to the spread of extremist and terrorist ideology in our countries, and the development of interaction parameters to promptly block access to illegal content inciting ethnic hatred and discord," he said after signing the document.

The head of the Russian supervisory authority began his visit to the capital of Uzbekistan by laying a wreath at the monument "Ode to Perseverance" in the Victory Park memorial complex dedicated to Zulfiya Zakirova, the mother of five sons who died at the front during the Great Patriotic War.

At the Leningrad Monument, which was opened on the territory of the complex in September 2025, Alexander Gutsan paid tribute to the victims of the siege of Leningrad, and also met with veterans of the siege living in Tashkent.

A day earlier, on April 7, during a working visit to Astana, Gutsan discussed with the Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan Berik Asylov issues of cooperation between supervisory authorities and mechanisms for the transfer of convicts. The parties signed the Second and Third Additional Protocols to the Agreement on Cooperation between the Prosecutor General's Offices of the two countries.
