The Central Bank may allow banks to serve customers via video communication
The Bank of Russia plans to give credit institutions the opportunity to sign contracts with new clients via video communication. An appropriate pilot legal regime is currently under development. This was reported on April 8 by the newspaper Vedomosti with reference to Alexander Naumov, Chairman of the National Council of the Financial Market.
The parameters of the regime are coordinated with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Finance, the FSB and Rosfinmonitoring. It is expected that the project will be approved in the first half of 2026, and testing in banks will begin before the end of the year.
