In Magadan, two people died due to a fire in a private house on April 7. This was announced on April 8 by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Magadan region in Moscow.
"The tragedy occurred <...> in 3rd Transport lane. The first units arrived at the extinguishing site seven minutes after the call," the report says.
It is specified that by the time of arrival the wooden building was on fire. During the extinguishing of the fire, employees of the gas and smoke protection service found the bodies of a man and a woman in the house.
"Firefighters evacuated five people from a neighboring house. One of the victims with a mild degree of carbon monoxide poisoning was handed over to the ambulance crew," the press service of the department reported.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations added that the fire area was 63 square meters, 34 people and nine pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing.
On April 6, the regional Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia reported that an elderly woman died as a result of a fire in the Porkhovsky municipal district of the Pskov Region, and rescuers found her body during extinguishing. The probable cause of the fire in the Ministry of Emergency Situations is called careless handling of fire when smoking.
