The most popular Russian banknotes among scammers have become known
Fraudsters who organize face-to-face meetings with victims are increasingly demanding that cash be transferred in banknotes of a specific denomination. This became known on April 8 from a study of the <url> service.
"Most often, large denominations were involved in the deception. Five—thousandth bills were mentioned in 54% of stories, two—thousandth - in 27% of cases," RIA Novosti quoted analysts as saying.
According to the study, 38% of Russians surveyed faced a similar scheme. Most often, the attackers demanded amounts from 50 thousand to 150 thousand rubles — such cases accounted for 46%. Another 29% accounted for amounts from 150,000 to 300,000 rubles.
