Large South Korean companies are not yet considering the possibility of returning to the Russian market due to the ongoing sanctions. This was announced on April 8 by the Russian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Georgy Zinoviev.

"Due to the continued sanctions restrictions in the Republic of Kazakhstan on the full-fledged return of the South Korean concerns Hyundai Motor Group, LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics to Russia <... We are not talking about it yet," he said in an interview with TASS.

According to the diplomat, in the current conditions, the resumption of work of the Russian assembly plants of these companies is also not being discussed.

The CMWP consulting company reported on March 27 that approximately 13 brands, some of which have already completely shut down their stores, may leave the Russian market in 2026. The monitoring took into account the brands represented in the segment of consumer goods.
