The State Duma reported on the possibility of families from June to receive money for a new tax payment

Low-income families with children in Russia will be able to receive a refund of part of the taxes paid in 2025, starting in June 2026. This was announced on April 8 by State Duma Deputy Igor Antropenko.

"Low-income families can receive a refund of part of the taxes paid in 2025 from mid-June 2026. Documents for payment will be accepted from June 1 to October 1. At the same time, the Social Fund of Russia will make a decision within 10 days from the date of registration of the application, however, in some cases the deadline may be extended up to 20 days," the deputy said in an interview with TASS.

According to the parliamentarian, you can apply for a payment through the Gosuslugi portal, to the Social Fund or the MFC. The amount of the payment is calculated as the difference between the personal income tax paid for the previous year and the tax at the rate of 6%.

"The individual's personal income tax for the previous year will be recalculated at a rate of 6% and the overpaid amount of 7% will be refunded. The payment will be credited to the applicant's account in a Russian bank," Igor Antropenko added.

Families with two or more minor children are eligible to receive funds if their average per capita income is below 1.5 regional subsistence levels.

On March 23, State Duma deputy from Fair Russia Marina Kim proposed introducing special tax conditions for women who combine entrepreneurial activity with raising children. The bill has been sent for review to the Government. The initiative is aimed at creating conditions under which motherhood can be combined with professional activity and financial independence.
