The government of Dagestan has allocated 100 million rubles for payments to flood victims. On April 7, the agency wrote about this in its Telegram channel.
"On behalf of the Head of Dagestan, Sergei Melikov, 100 million rubles have been allocated from the reserve fund of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan. The corresponding order was signed by Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov," the message says.
The publication clarifies that the funds were transferred to the Ministry of Labor and Social Development of the Republic to provide assistance to citizens whose property was damaged as a result of bad weather.
The payments will be received by residents of seven municipal districts and five urban districts, according to the department.
It is added that an assessment of the damage is currently being carried out in the region, and applications for compensation, including lump-sum payments, have also been accepted.
The head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, said that an emergency regime had been introduced in 11 of the most affected municipalities of the republic. Up to 1.5 million people were trapped in the disaster area. To date, more than 6.2 thousand people have been evacuated, including 1.3 thousand children. 55 temporary accommodation facilities have been deployed for people, in which 700 people are staying, the rest of the evacuees are staying with relatives.
