A multimedia performance based on the fairy tales of the peoples of Russia will be shown on the walls of the Pskov Kremlin. The event will be held in honor of the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia.

The event calendar for 2026 was presented by the Regional Minister of Culture, Ilianna Petrova, at a meeting of the department's board. According to her, quoted by the Pskov News feed, this year the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation will exceed 290 million rubles. This is 10 times more than a year earlier.

The regional authorities continue to support cultural workers. So, each participant of the Zemsky Worker of Culture program will receive a regional payment in the amount of 100 thousand rubles. This will be an addition to the 1 million rubles allocated from the federal budget.

New projects are planned to be implemented. One of them is the Monastery Cuisine Festival. It will become a platform where the monasteries of the Pskov region and other regions will be represented. The festival will feature talks about the traditions of Orthodoxy, gastronomic workshops, lectures and performances by monastery choirs.

The agency writes that by the end of 2025, attendance at cultural institutions amounted to about 15 million. This is 115% of the planned values. 12 institutions of the Pskov region received more than 21 million rubles in support of the national project "Family".

More than 90.5% of institutions have joined the Pushkin Map project. The largest events in the region have been attended by about 0.5 million people over the past year.

Earlier it was reported that a universal modular hall will be built in Pskov at the Mashinostroitel stadium. The construction is scheduled to be completed in 2027. The preliminary cost of the facility is 135 million rubles. It is planned that the hall will be equipped at the expense of federal funds. The foundation will be prepared at the expense of the regional and local budgets. The universal modular hall will host classes in game sports, including mini-football, volleyball and handball. This meets the requirements of the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation.
