Scientists have declared overpopulation of the Earth

The human population has exceeded the level that the planet can sustainably maintain with current resource consumption. The results of the study are published in Environmental Research Letters (ERL).

According to scientists, rapid population growth has become possible due to the use of fossil fuels. This temporarily increased the availability of resources and allowed people to provide a higher standard of living.
