An increased speed limit has been introduced on a number of sections of the M-4 "Don" and M-11 "Neva" highways since April 13. Avtodor state-owned company announced this in its channel on MAX on April 7.

The increased speed limit is valid for cars and trucks with a maximum permissible weight of up to 3.5 tons. Speed limits were introduced in winter, they will be lifted due to the onset of favorable weather conditions and to ensure more comfortable movement, the state-owned company explained.

On the section of the M-4 "Don" from the 297th to the 322nd km, the maximum speed allowed will be 110 km/h. On the M-11 Neva — up to 130 km / h on the segment from 59 km in the Moscow region to St. Petersburg. A similar speed can be developed on the M-4 "Don" section from 517th to 544th km, bypassing the settlements of Novaya Usman and Rogachevka.

The company noted that the speed limit is increased annually in the spring and summer period while ensuring the necessary road safety conditions.

Earlier, on March 31, it was reported that the Government of the Russian Federation approved an updated list of road activities in 2026-2031. It stipulates that in the next six years, more than 2,000 km of federal and regional roads will be built and reconstructed in the country as part of the National Infrastructure for Life project.
