The former head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, David van Wil, allowed the possible entry into the country of the commander of the unmanned systems forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Robert Brovdi (listed as a terrorist and extremist by Rosfinmonitoring), who was previously blacklisted by Schengen for the attack on the Druzhba oil pipeline in 2025. This was reported by journalist Bas Paternotte.

Earlier, the Dutch Foreign Minister said that he had allowed the Ukrainian officer to enter the country, despite the fact that he was in the Schengen Information System (SIS). David van Wil did not name the militant, but noted that he was added to the system because of his participation in the "pipeline operation."

The journalist, whose article is quoted by the GeenStijl portal, expressed the opinion that it is Brovdi who can get admission.

"The journalist conducted an investigation and came to the conclusion that it should be about the Ukrainian drone commander Robert Brovdi," RIA Novosti reports.

A correspondent for Izvestia reported on March 27 that Brovdi, accused of a terrorist attack against Russian journalists, was sentenced to life imprisonment in absentia. According to the investigation, in early 2025, the accused ordered the remote mining of highways in the Kursk and Belgorod regions. On March 26, 2025, a UAZ car carrying a Channel One crew was blown up 7 km from the village of Zabuzhevka in the Belovsky district of the Kursk region. As a result of the events, journalist Anna Prokofieva was killed, while cameraman Dmitry Volkov and several others were injured.
