Colonel Alexey Bulakhov, commander of the 35th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), was demoted to regimental commander after suffering losses on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was reported on April 7 in the law enforcement agencies.
"Due to heavy losses in the DPR, the 35th separate brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Marines has gone into recovery. Its commander Bulakhov Alexey was removed and appointed to a lower position. The new commander also failed to cope with the situation," a security source told RIA Novosti.
