The Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into a fatal fire on Gagarin Street in Lipetsk.

In Lipetsk, a 44-year-old man died as a result of a fire in an apartment building. An inspection has been organized, according to the regional SU of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The fire occurred on Monday morning, April 6, on Gagarin Street. The fire was located in an apartment on the fourth floor.

During the extinguishing, rescuers found the owner of the apartment without signs of life. According to preliminary data, the cause of death of the 44-year-old man was carbon monoxide poisoning.

The preliminary cause of fire in the UK is called careless handling of fire when smoking. The exact cause will be determined during a pre-investigation check organized by the agency.

According to GOROD48 in the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, 25 people and six pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. The gas and smoke protection service units brought 12 people out of the heavily smoky entrance.
