The fire season was announced in 30 more Krasnoyarsk forest districts.

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, another 30 forest districts have opened a fire season. The reason is a partial snowfall.

KrasnoyarskMedia news agency, referring to the regional forest fire center, reminds that residents were forbidden to burn dry grass. Violation of the ban may result in criminal liability.

Preparations for the new fire season started in the region in mid-November 2025. The region has received equipment and special equipment purchased with the support of the federal budget. Firefighters received 125 radio stations, 45 modular structures and 43 tents with stoves, 30 fire tanks with a volume of 1 thousand liters and 20 thermal imagers. Thanks to these tools, firefighters will be able to increase the efficiency of fire elimination.

Earlier, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment stated that climate change has led to an increase in fire-prone areas in Russia. Against this background, the authorities have increased funding for the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Transbaikalia to fight fires.
