Renovation of the Birobidzhan Regional Philharmonic has begun in Birobidzhan. It is the largest cultural institution of the EAO.

The contract for the preparation of design and estimate documentation for the major renovation of the building has already been concluded. 39 million rubles will be allocated for these purposes, IA EAOmedia writes with reference to the regional government.

After all the necessary documents are ready, the project will be sent for state expertise. Next, the authorities will determine the sources of financing and hold an auction to select a contractor.

The government noted that work on large social facilities in the autonomous region is taking place according to previously approved schedules. So, a 350-seat school is being built in Obluchye. The renovation of the Nyfeld village school was completed by 52%. A model library is being built in Obluchye. After purchasing the equipment and updating the book collection, it will become a point of attraction for citizens of all ages.

Earlier it was reported that in the EAO, the court ordered the agricultural college in the village of Leninsky to repair the roof of the building. The cover was partially torn off by a strong wind. The court granted the prosecutor's claim. The money for the restoration work will be paid by the regional Department of Education. The college administration was unable to carry out repairs due to lack of funds.
