The director of the NPP called the situation at the plant stably tense.
The situation at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) can be described as stably tense. This was announced on April 6 by Yuri Chernichuk, director of the ZAES.
"Unfortunately, we have such a formulation, which is not quite standard, but nevertheless it is a stably tense situation. We can characterize this situation this way," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti journalists.
According to Chernichuk, this is due to the shelling of the facilities of the station and the city.
On April 6, the Director of the NPP announced that, together with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), work is underway to create a "silence regime" for the repair of one of the high-voltage power supply lines (transmission lines) of the nuclear power plant. It is noted that backup diesel generators are on standby, and the supply of diesel fuel is sufficient for use if necessary.
