- The Liberal Democratic Party proposed to create a mechanism for appealing all fines through public services
LDPR deputies want to create a single digital complaint service for all cases of administrative offenses in public services. The party's leader Leonid Slutsky addressed such a proposal in a letter to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko on March 5 (Izvestia has the text of the document).
"Such cases, alas. It is not uncommon for the system to fail, and citizens become debtors from scratch. Instead of challenging an obvious mistake in a couple of minutes, citizens start going through the motions to prove their case — collecting papers, photographs, filing complaints, spending their time and money on bureaucracy, and often the courts. We need a single digital service and a clear procedure for all citizens who have received illegal charges," Slutsky told Izvestia.
Today, the service "Appeal of fines" is operating in Public Services, with the help of which more than 60 thousand complaints have been filed. Every third was satisfied, showing the high demand for an electronic mechanism for protecting citizens' rights and a significant number of unjustifiably issued rulings, the letter says.
Through this mechanism, it is allowed to appeal only fines for traffic violations, while deputies want to extend this practice to all types of fines. It is assumed that the digital service will work for free and as a result will reduce the burden on the courts and make life easier for Russians.
Earlier in the day, LDPR deputies proposed to exempt Russians from paying transport tax during the period when seasonal transport is not actually used. The initiative takes into account people's real lives and makes taxation more reasonable, said Alexander Kurdyumov, a co-author of the bill and a member of the LDPR Supreme Council.
