Guards Senior Lieutenant Ivan Gorev commanded a howitzer self-propelled artillery platoon during the destruction of three strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported on the exploits of Russian servicemen in the special military operation zone on April 6.

The location of the supports was revealed during aerial reconnaissance conducted personally by Gorev. Having found three targets, he ordered his crew to open fire on the enemy's rear. At the same time, some of the soldiers began shelling enemy dugouts.

At that time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to establish the coordinates of the Russian gunners' position, and a Baba Yaga hexacopter was sent to Gorev's calculation. However, the senior lieutenant of the Guard noticed and destroyed the enemy unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in a timely manner. As a result of the clash, Russian gunners managed to eliminate three enemy support units and two calculations of the AFU FPV drones.

The Russian Defense Ministry also noted the determination of Corporal Sergei Kolyshkin, who was driving an evacuation vehicle when the Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on him.

Quickly reacting, Kolyshkin managed to first get the car out of the shelling, and then provide first aid to the victims, using knowledge of tactical medicine. Then he began to cover the transport from the continued attacks of enemy FPV drones. As a result, the wounded were taken to a medical facility.
