Russia is preparing a national standard (GOST) for mosquito nets, which will contain warning information about the danger of open windows in a room with children. This was announced on April 5 by the chairman of the technical committee "Equipment for children's playgrounds", State Duma deputy Tatyana Butskaya.

"We are preparing GOST standards for mosquito nets. When parents rely on an anti-mosquito net to prevent a child from falling out of a window, it can end in tragedy. Some types of such nets can withstand the weight of a small pet, but they absolutely do not protect children from falling out," Butskaya said in an interview with TASS.

According to her, the current GOST standards for window structures do not specify the standards for the size of the warning sign, the place and technology of its application. Currently, there are no such signs on grids sold through marketplaces.

Technological recommendations for cooking dumplings and casseroles were included on April 5 in the draft of the first GOST of traditional Russian cuisine. The draft states that the dough for dumplings should be exclusively unleavened. It is recommended to place the filling of ready-made products in round balls, and seal the edges with a simple pinch or "pigtail".
