Russia and Tanzania have decided to launch direct flights

Russia and Tanzania have made a political decision to organize direct flights, and the parties are making efforts to launch them as soon as possible. This was announced on April 5 by the Minister of Transport of Tanzania Makame Mnaa Mbarawa.

"Definitely, that's why we're here. <...> I can say that the governments of Tanzania and Russia are working on launching direct flights. And I am sure that it will take place as soon as possible for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries," TASS quoted the minister as saying.

However, he did not provide exact dates, noting that the parties continue to work on a number of issues in accordance with international standards.

On February 16, the Slovak government spoke about the prospects for resuming direct flights to Russia. According to the press secretary of the department, the possibility of opening regular or irregular direct flights between the two countries depends on the interest of air carriers.
