Some of the personnel of the Rosatom State Corporation are ready to remain in Iran and continue to perform their official duties at the Bushehr NPP. This was announced on April 5 by Alexey Likhachev, CEO of the company, speaking on the sidelines of the Atomskills championship in Yekaterinburg.

"We have a number of volunteers who are ready to stay directly in the combat zone," TASS quoted him as saying.

Likhachev noted that the work will take place directly in the combat zone.

On the same day, Likhachev announced that the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) had resumed contacts with Rosatom State Corporation. He noted that Iran reports its actions to Rosatom based on the situation, and stressed that the corporation would be ready to provide the necessary consultations to the Islamic Republic in the situation at the Bushehr nuclear power plant in the context of the experience gained at the Zaporizhia plant.

Likhachev said on the same day that the red lines on the issue of strikes on nuclear infrastructure were gradually shifting, which was a matter of serious concern. According to him, what is happening indicates that previously unacceptable scenarios are beginning to be perceived as commonplace.

The AEOI reported on the eve of a new shelling of the territory of the Bushehr nuclear power plant by the United States and Israel. As a result of the blast wave and shrapnel, one of the auxiliary buildings of the NPP was damaged, and one of the employees of the station's physical security department was killed.
