The head of European diplomacy, Kaya Kallas, should no longer speak out on the topic of history. This opinion was expressed by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov in an interview with Vesti journalist Pavel Zarubin.

According to the press secretary of the Russian president, such statements reflect the level of qualifications of the head of the European diplomacy. He pointed out that Callas should have made "a small positive contribution to the cause of repairing what they had broken."

"Anyway, you know, there is a saying in the East: the path of reason is one. Therefore, sooner or later it will still need to be fixed somehow, somehow normalize everything. But it's better not to tell her about history," Peskov stated.

In an interview with RBC-Ukraine on April 1, Kallas stated that Russia had allegedly attacked at least 19 countries over the past 100 years, not counting African countries. At the same time, the politician did not specify which countries she was referring to.

On the same day, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Callas' statements demonstrate gaps in the knowledge of the school curriculum. She also recalled that earlier the local court had already ordered the diplomat to withdraw public statements that were found to be factually unreliable.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, in turn, said that European politicians can enjoy Callas' statements because of her shameful statements.
