Tolyatti ripper Oleg Rylkov, who was sentenced to life in prison for the murders of women and violence against minors, demanded 300 thousand rubles in court as compensation for moral damage for allegedly illegal criminal prosecution. This became known on April 5.

In court materials available to RIA Novosti, it is stated that Rylkov, who is serving a life sentence of almost 30 years, filed a lawsuit in the Samara court for compensation for moral damage for unlawful criminal prosecution.

The amount of his claims, as reported in the press service of the court, amounted to 300 thousand rubles. The convict participated in the meeting via video link from the colony, but at the end of March the court dismissed his claim, the agency reports.

On March 11, serial killer Alexander Pichushkin, who was sentenced to life in prison and known as the "Bitsevsky maniac," filed a cassation appeal against court decisions that refused to transfer him from the Polar Owl colony to an institution closer to Moscow. According to him, his mother and sister cannot visit him because of the remoteness of the correctional facility.
