An employee may be denied a summer vacation if such a vacation is not scheduled or may disrupt the work of the organization. Margarita Bogdanova-Shemraeva, Director of the HR Department of the Russian Society Znanie, warned about this on April 5.

"An employer may refuse an employee a summer vacation if the vacation is not provided for by the vacation schedule or if the absence of an employee during a certain period may disrupt the work of the organization. For example, if there is a peak in orders or a seasonal workload in the summer, the employer has the right to allocate rest periods in such a way that the business process does not suffer," she told TASS.
