Rospotrebnadzor named healthy spicy foods

On April 5, the press service of Rospotrebnadzor told which spicy foods are good for humans.

"Proper use of seasonings and spices prevents the development of putrefactive processes in the intestine, improves metabolism and increases the digestibility of certain foods," Rospotrebnadzor told RIA Novosti.

It is noted that products such as garlic, onion, ginger, turmeric, pepper, cumin and cloves are beneficial.

"[They] have antimicrobial properties, so they inhibit the growth and reproduction of bacteria, thereby helping to keep food fresh," the agency explained.
