Several hundred people rallied on April 4 in the center of Vienna, advocating the preservation of Austria's neutrality, the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions and the country's involvement in international conflicts.

"Russia has been supplying us with cheap oil and gas for more than 60 years, as long as we paid. Now we no longer pay, but now we are paying the United States, Qatar and others a lot of money, and, by the way, we will soon pay even more for gasoline and diesel. It's only a matter of time," one of the organizers, Martin Rutter, told RIA Novosti.

According to him, everything is happening because the European Union and the current government of the republic are forcing the people to give their money to support conflicts that do not concern Austria, thereby undermining neutrality.

Rutter called for elections to replace the government, which advocates maintaining the conflict at the expense of citizens. He stressed that people do not agree with this.

The protesters marched through the city center with Austrian flags and posters demanding an end to the economic war against Russia. In addition, one marcher had a patch with the flag of the Russian Federation on his jacket.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on March 21 that European democracy is dying because the leadership of the European Union (EU) is interfering in the internal affairs of other countries. According to the Hungarian leader, for the current EU leadership, the interests of European countries have receded into the background, giving way to the needs of Kiev.
